The Client is a mid-sized full service Mechanical Contractor in the metro DC/MD area. They are an established firm in business for over 30 years and have revenues in excess of $25M. They currently have a very high sense of urgency for a Service Manager to run and grow their existing $6M base to over $12M within the next couple years.
The successful candidate MUST have prior experience in the Mechanical Contracting industry running, managing and growing a Service group; and MUST have prior experience in running the day-to-day operations for a Mechanical Service Contractor. The experience should include the ability to manage Service operations, Service techs and be responsible for the financial management including P&L reporting; cash management; and business management functions to insure the overall profitability of the Service division. The Service group’s projects range in size from $50K to $4M and larger.
Experience should include a mix of commercial, institutional and light industrial projects including offices; tenant fit-outs; renovations and new construction. The company does not perform/complete any plan & spec projects, the majority of their work is design-build and negotiated.
Experience with job cost tracking and cost codes are essential and required for consideration in this position. This individual will be involved in marketing; business development; purchasing; estimating; engineering and other responsibilities consistent with those of a Service Manager for a Mechanical Contractor. Salary is commensurate with experience and they offer a very competitive compensation program including the opportunity for management incentive compensation.
