Description

Our client has an immediate opening for a seasoned Commercial Facilities Project Manager to be based out of Long Island, NY, or somewhere in the five boroughs. This critical role in the management of their physical assets will be involved in identifying needed capital expenditures, scoping project requirements, contracting the work and overseeing the completion of projects across a region of the country. Specific responsibilities include: Developing strategic asset plans for existing properties. Developing scopes of work, cost analyses and budget projections necessary to maintain company’s assets in accordance with acceptable standards. Identifying and qualifying vendors as well as contracting and ultimately monitoring vendor work performance. Developing and maintaining schedules of work and forecasts for completion dates as well as costs vs. budgets. Researching and implementing products, processes and services for continuous improvements in the delivery of results. Resolving minor land use issues and assuring compliance with codes, ordinances and regulations imposed by governmental organizations. Assisting with due diligence for acquisitions as needed. Providing emergency response as needed. Only local candidates need apply.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes: Technical experience in construction, contracting and commercial facilities project management. Experience in the development of scopes, budgets and schedules and 5 years experience in project management in a facilities or construction related field. Ability to grow, react to change and desire for long term stable employment. Possess a customer centric attitude with the ability to collaborate, communicate and interact with various management levels within organization. Computer literacy and ability to learn new software as needed. Be physically capable of performing physical inspections, including climbing ladders and walking on roof tops. A proven track record of success in multi location asset management. Must be highly mobile and willing to travel extensively as the workload dictates. A 4 year degree is preferred.
