Description
Alutiiq International Solutions, LLC seeks a construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a new project on Ft. Hood, Killeen TX. You will oversee and coordinate the planning, implementation, and supervision of the project quality control plan. This includes working with Alutiiq employees as well as outside agencies or consultants involved in inspections and testing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assure, to the best of your abilities, that all materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, and all applicable building codes.
- Require that defective work or material be corrected or removed until made compliant.
- Submittal review and approval, including recommendations for variations, value engineering, and betterments.
- Perform inspections as needed. Prepare and maintain inspection and performance records daily.
- Hold daily preparatory meetings with subcontractors and all concerned parties as needed to define QC and safety policies and procedures with each newly definable feature of work.
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner and integrate well into the project team.
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum, (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or a combination of work experience/education equivalent to a four-year degree.
- 2+ years of field experience in the role of Quality Control Manager with proven competency and proficiency in the essential job functions, duties and responsibilities.
- Project experience in the $5M to $50M range including multi-story buildings, site work, grading, and site utilities.
- Broad-based project and management skills to lead and effectively communicate with people both internal and external to the company.
- Experience with Government/Military projects and working with Title 2 oversight agencies. Provide a list of all projects that pertain to DoD and/or Army Corp of Engineers experience.
- Current U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CQM certification.
- Preference to current OSHA 30-hour Safety, First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Proficiency in PC-based software including Microsoft Office and Primavera.
