Duties include assisting the  Waste Management Group with the oversight of regulated waste generated throughout the system companies; performing compliance based technical reviews and data processing of waste management paper work, e.g. waste profiles, manifests to ensure proper adherence with environmental regulations and company policy; and assisting in the regulatory analysis regarding waste management compliance issues. A Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering or a related field is REQUIRED. A minimum of five years of experience is required for the Fully-Qualified level. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of federal (EPA, DOT, OSHA) and state (CT, MA or NH) environmental regulations. The successful candidate must possess proficiencies in MS Office products (including Access). Other requirements include EXCEPTIONAL spoken and written communication skills; EXCELLENT interpersonal skills; a STRONG teamwork ethic; and EFFECTIVE communications with field staff as well as senior-level management. This position requires travel throughout the service territory and may include overnight trips involving several days.
