Service Project Manager
Job Description
The Service Project Manager is responsible for the day to day functions of the service and small projects division. This individual will be required to meet with customers, have the electrical knowledge to assemble a proper electrical estimate, and market the company to the customer. This individual will work closely with the Business Development Manager to grow the special projects division.
The Service Project Manager shall be a highly skilled and organized professional. He/she shall have the proper electrical and management experience necessary to successfully manage this division.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
· Meet with customers and understand their electrical needs
· Estimate the small/service projects
· Write the service proposals and sell them to the customer
· Work with the superintendant and set up new service/small projects
· Arrange the material purchases through the purchasing department
· Monitor the profitability of the service/small projects
· Monitor the overall profitability of the small projects division
Skills Needed:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong leadership ability
· Thorough knowledge of Maxwell Systems and Microsoft Office
· Experience with an electronic estimating system
· Problem solving capabilities are a must
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and requires a high level of organization. The ideal candidate shall possess strong leadership skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. The Service Manager shall have 10 or more years of experience in the electrical industry with field and/or management experience. A history of working well and supervising others is essential.
